Brief

The production of a new TV series about video games called 'Games Corner' for Sheffield Live!. This will be made from pre-production material recorded indoors. This project will be created in groups with our team organising the show's competition section.
Target Audience

Games Corner will be aimed at those who have a interest for video games as a target audience, which will be made of people who enjoy playing games, creating games, making designs for games, etc. This can also include all sub-cultures of the gaming society.

People who who want to be involved in the show or gamers who would like the video game prizes on offer will be the target audience for the the competition sections, with some of the prizes possibly relating to the quiz questions.
Segment Synopsis and How it Relates to the Brief

The competition section is a part of the show that allows the viewers to directly engage with the show by answering a question and possibly winning a prize. This is pre-production material that will be filmed and created on the set.

This relates to the brief as it is section of the show that is relevant to games by having games related questions as part of a games related show relating to the brief.

Health and Safety Considerations
For this project we need to take into consideration the health and safety of those on stage when filming the content when they are presenting and walking about. The following hazards would be of concern:

- Tripping hazard: Resolution - Have a plan for the movement of the presenters. Make sure step are suitably placed. Make sure the set is safe/stable. No loose cables and wires across set, must be tapped down to floor.

- Breaking Equipment: Resolution - Make sure cables are placed suitably and equipment is handled with caution.

Legal and Ethical Considerations
During the production we need to take into consideration the content of the show, so the script needs to be fully checked to make sure all lines are suitable and do not offend any one of any race, gender etc. Also the questions spoken by the presenter need to be checked to as part of the script to make sure they are relevant to the audience and are not offensive not anyone of race, culture gender etc.

Also all content that references video game needs to be correctly reference to make sure there is no copyright infringement/ laws broken. This will be vital during production as it is about video games which will all be licensed material.
